ASHLAND -- Cub Cadet recognized Wellington Implement as the #17 dealership in the nation in sales performance in 2019.

Cub Cadet has 1,600 dealer locations in the United States and recognized Wellington Implement with a “Top 100 Club” award for the 21st consecutive year. Wellington Implement received another award at the end of 2019 from Case IH.

Wellington has three locations, in Ashland, Medina and Wellington. The Ashland store is located at 1145 Cleveland Ave.

The company is one of 37 dealers in North America that earned the highest level of recognition a Case IH dealer can achieve – the Case IH Pinnacle Excellence Award for business performance in 2018.

There were 656 dealer locations participating in the assessment. The program evaluated best practices in sales, marketing, operations, parts, service and precision farming.

“This recognition from our two major suppliers is a huge tribute to our employees and the dedication each of them has to our business and our customers,” stated Tom Stannard, General Manager/CEO of the company. “Our mission is to provide farmers, property owners and businesses with high quality, innovative equipment backed by superior service -- then delivered by people who understand their needs.”

To kick off the new year, Wellington Implement is having Customer Appreciation Open Houses from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4 in Wellington and Friday, Feb. 7 in Ashland.

These annual events attract people from the area’s farming community and landscapers as well as all those who have purchased equipment, parts and service at the Wellington or Ashland location.

“All I can say is that we serve a lot of hot dogs! This year we added a gourmet hot-dog bar and are featuring Ohio made products,” Stannard said. “It’s a great opportunity to thank our customers for their loyalty and to offer one-day- only sales that are of value.”

Ownership of Wellington Implement changed hands this week. Bill Stannard and Patti Young, 3rd generation owners of the business started by their grandparents, announced that 4th generation family member, Tom Stannard, is now owner and chief operating officer of the company.

Wellington Implement Co., Inc, is a family-owned dealership founded in 1929.
