ASHLAND — The Ashland Symphony Orchestra will present a series of recorded concerts throughout the 2020-2021 concert season.

These Pandemini Concerts and Living Room Concerts will be available on the Ashland Symphony Orchestra’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.

Most videos will be public, however a few will be shared with patrons only.

You can receive links to these private events as well as announcements of all upcoming events via email. To be added to the Symphony’s listserv, please call 419-289-5115 or email symphony@ashland.edu and provide your name, phone number, and email address.

The first publicly available video will be Aaron Copland’s “Appalachian Spring” which was recorded live in concert on Sept. 28, 2019. This concert features Neos Dance Theatre with choreography by Robert Wesner. Due to licensing restrictions, this video will only be available from Oct. 1 to 14. The 2020-2021 concert season was supposed to be the year when the ASO auditioned five conductors for the position of Music Director/Conductor. ASO Executive Conductor Martha Buckner is recording conversations with each candidate and these videos will be released on each of the conductor’s originally scheduled concert date. Darwin Aquino, Sept. 12; Yaniv Segal, Oct. 31; Michael Repper, Jan. 9; Raphael Jiménez, March 6; and Isaac Selya, April 17.

These videos will also be available on YouTube and Facebook.

The Arts have been dramatically affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
