Ashland County Historical Society Christmas

ASHLAND -- Saturday was a busy day for Ashland community members as the Christmas season is in full swing and shoppers were paroozing downtown searching for deals at the local businesses.

The Ashland County Historical Society brought to life another important date around this time of the year: December 7th, the anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

The Historical Society had a Pearl Harbor military display set up during their Christmas Open House in honor of those who served and were affected by the attack.

Several other activities also took place including scavenger hunts, live entertainment, on-campus tours, local artisans with items for sale, punch and cookies, prizes and even a gingerbread house vote.

The event proceeded the downtown Ashland Christmas parade and Official Tree Lighting, which began at 6 p.m.

The Historical Society is located at 420 Center Street in Ashland.
