Ashland Symphony Orchestra

The Ashland Symphony Orchestra will present the music of Star Wars on Jan. 26.

ASHLAND -- The Ashland Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Jedi Master and Conductor Arie Lipsky, will present “The Music of Star Wars,” Saturday, Jan. 26, at 7:30 p.m. at the Robert M. and Janet L. Archer Auditorium.

Music by John Williams from the entire Star Wars Saga will be featured.

Special guests are Ivey Buffenmyer, Kassandra Lee, and Matthew Roberts. Portions of the concert will include video provided by NASA Glenn Research Center, Cleveland, Ohio.

Tickets are $17 for adults and seniors and $5 for children and students and are available from the ASO office, 419-289-5115, and the AU Box Office, 419-289-5125, both located at 331 College Avenue. For more information or to purchase tickets on-line, please visit www.ashlandsymphony.org.

Your ticket also admits you to the preconcert activities which begin at 6 p.m. in the Archer and Little Theatre lobbies. Activities include a photo booth provided by Coffy Creations and a NASA display provided by NASA Glenn Research Center, Cleveland, Ohio.

There will be concessions available for purchase and a raffle for a Star Wars themed basket; cash or check only, small bills appreciated. Proceeds will benefit the ASO’s outreach programs.

Patrons of all ages are encouraged to come in costume.

The NASA display will be free and open to the public on Saturday, Jan. 26, from 2 to 5 p.m.
