ASHLAND — The City of Ashland has announced that “Let’s Glow Golfing!” will return to Brookside Golf Course once again this year on July 30, from 9:30 to 11 p.m.
The event is free for area children ages 4-15, although parents and families are welcome to attend.
Thousands of glow sticks and other dazzling glow-in-the-dark items will light up the golf course, and children will be able to participate in a variety of contests including footgolf and putting contests. This is the second time for this event, with the inaugural "Let's Glow Golfing!" taking place in 2019 before the onset of the pandemic.
“This event was a great hit the first time we held it, and thanks to the work of this year’s planning committee we expect this year’s event to be even more dazzling,” Mayor Matt Miller said.
“We want our young people and families to experience the many wonderful park and recreation areas that we are blessed to have in our city, and this event gives our children a chance to see our golf course in a very fun and unique way.”
The event is open house style and food and beverages will be provided. Brookside Golf Course is located at 1399 Sandusky Street. Details can be found at ashland-ohio.com and the City of Ashland’s Facebook page.
