Indictments - Indicted

ASHLAND -- The Ashland County Grand Jury was convened for the month of December, was in session for one day and issued eleven (11) indictments.

All persons indicted by the Grand Jury are innocent until proven guilty.

Among those indicted were the following:

Ezekiel M. Cricks, 22, of Ashland, was charged with carrying concealed weapons, a felony of the fourth degree, and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a felony of the fourth degree with a specification seeking the forfeiture of a Hi-Point Model GF380 firearm stemming from a traffic stop on December 4, 2019. The case was presented by the Ashland Police Department.

Jennifer L. Gulley, 50, of Louisville, Kentucky, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, specifically methamphetamine, a felony of the fifth degree, and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor of the fourth degree stemming from a traffic stop on November 16, 2019. The case was presented by the Ashland Police Department.

Cory L. Griffith, 24, of Fredericktown, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them-OVI with a previous conviction or plead guilty to a felony OVI, a felony of the third degree, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them-OVI with a previous conviction or plead guilty to a felony OVI and a refusal to a chemical test, a felony of the third degree, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them-OVI with four previous conviction, a felony of the fourth degree, operating a vehicle Under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them-OVI with four previous conviction and a refusal to chemical tests, a felony of the fourth degree, possessing criminal tools, a felony of the fifth degree, and a specification seeking forfeiture of a 2003 Buick stemming from a traffic stop on December 2, 2019. The case was presented by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office.

Tara N. Preece, 30, of Ashland, was charged with failure to appear, a felony of the fourth degree, stemming from failing to appear for a court appearance in Ashland County Common Pleas Case No. 19-CRI-080 on May 14, 2019.

Michael Tyler Archer, 28, of Ashland was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree, aggravated trafficking in drugs, a felony of the third degree, corrupting another with drugs, a felony of the second degree, and possession of criminal tools, a felony of the fifth degree. These charges stem from a traffic stop on November 22, 2019. The case was presented by the Ashland Police Department.

Torrey D. Lawson, 33, of Shiloh is charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs, a felony of the second degree, aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the second degree, tampering with evidence, a felony of the third degree, and possession of criminal tools, a felony of the fifth degree. These charges are accompanied with a specification seeking the forfeiture of various items including 2002 Honda CRV. These charges stem from a narcotics investigation on November 25, 2019. The case was presented by the METRICH Drug Task Force.

Timothy P. McElfresh, 44, of Wooster is charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the third degree. The charge stems from a traffic stop on November 26, 2019. The case was presented by the Ashland Police Department.
