ASHLAND - Nominations are being sought for the annual Ashland County Women of Achievement Awards Program.

Nomination forms may be picked up at the Ashland or Loudonville Public Libraries, as well as on Facebook: Ashland County Ohio Women of Achievement. The deadline to receive applications is July 24, 2019.

Former recipients, friends, employees and family members are welcome to nominate women who have reached beyond themselves to contribute substantially to the quality of life in Ashland County through involvement with family, career, community and social issues.

The nominee must be 21 years or older, have lived in Ashland County for at least 5 years, and be a current resident. Nominees will be evaluated on the scope and impact of the nominee's verified achievements and the extent her efforts have provided inspiration for other women.

In addition to the Ashland County Women of Achievement Awards, the committee is seeking nominations for the "Young Woman to Watch" award in Ashland County. The young person should be between the age of 15-18, and be in line with many of the qualities of the Woman of Achievement Award. A one page description of the nominee, written by a non-family member may be submitted for consideration to the same address. A cash award will be given to the winning recipient.

Kay Conrad established Ashland County Women of Achievement in 1991 and led it to official nonprofit status. The organization now has founder-member status with the Ashland County Community Foundation. Ashland County Women of Achievement leaders are pleased to see Kay Conrad's legacy live on through this organization.
