ASHLAND -- A trooper from the Ashland Post of the State Highway Patrol arrested a habitual OVI offender on Tuesday, the post reported this afternoon.
Andrew M. Velky, 50, of Oberlin, was arrested at approximately 4:13 p.m. after failing to yield from a red traffic signal. The traffic stop and arrest was made on U.S. 250, near Interstate 71.
Velky is scheduled to appear in Ashland Municipal Court on Friday at 9 a.m. for what will be his sixth lifetime OVI offense.
The patrol was assisted at the scene by the Ashland Police Department and Aber's Towing.
