Brookside Community Dog Park

The Brookside Community Dog Park opens on Saturday, Aug. 17 in Ashland.

ASHLAND — the City of Ashland will celebrate the grand opening of the Brookside Community Dog Park, located at Brookside West Park, on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 10 a.m.

Through the efforts of the City Parks and Recreation Department and a sponsorship by a local Pet Valu store, both a large and a small dog park area have been created, complete with multiple obstacles, benches, and dog waste disposal containers.

“One of the most often requested amenities that I have received over the past year has been a public dog park — and through yet another public-private partnership, we are so pleased to bring this new feature to our community,” said Mayor Matt Miller.

The public — and their canine friends — are invited to the official ribbon cutting of the dog park this Saturday.
