Ashland cones with a cop

The Ashland Police Division will stage its and third and final summer "Cones with a Cop" event on Sept. 7.

ASHLAND — On Saturday, Sept. 7, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., the Ashland Police Division will hold the summer’s third and final Cones with a Cop event—a spin-off from the highly successful Coffee with a Cop program which has taken place monthly since October 2018.

“After seeing how our Coffee with a Cop events have taken off, we wanted to provide a more kid-friendly opportunity for the public to meet with our local police officers and K-9 units,” said Ashland Police Chief David Marcelli. “We thought of Cones with a Cop— where ice cream, rather than coffee, will be provided—to better engage our community’s youth and familiarize them with our team.”

Cones with a Cop will be hosted by Yoder’s Red Barn Ice Cream, located at 428 Parkside Drive, Ashland. All are welcome to attend any time between 5 to 6:30 p.m. Complimentary ice cream will be provided.
