ASHLAND — Ashland County commissioners entered into a contract with a company that will on Oct. 1 accept residents’ unwanted electronics and TVs.

Green Board IT has agreed to haul away Ashland County residents’ electronic waste for no more than $25,000 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 1 at the Ashland County Fairgrounds.

The event will be like recent waste collection events the county has hosted in recent months.

This one, however, will be designated for TVs, old cell phones, computers, printers, phones and much more.

The event is free, but people wishing to dispose of items must prove Ashland County residency.

For more information on what will be accepted and what won’t, visit the Ashland County Solid Waste District website.
