ASHLAND — Mayor Matt Miller announced Tuesday that he will hold the city's first Mayor’s Veterans Day Breakfast from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11 at the St. Edward Activity Center.
The event, which is expected to continue annually, is meant to honor the community’s military service members.
“We are so proud of the men and women in our community who have served our country in the United States Military, and we want to honor them for the role they have played in keeping America strong and our freedom alive throughout their lifetimes,” said Miller in a press release. “This breakfast is a very simple way for us to let them know that we are so thankful for their efforts and their sacrifices.”
Veterans and active duty military members, plus their guest, are welcome to stop by the St. Edward Activity Center, 501 Cottage Street, anytime between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m. for a free breakfast buffet, including eggs, pancakes and sausage gravy & biscuits.
