Goodyear Blimp

MANSFIELD — A familiar figure will be spotted in the skies over Mansfield on Thursday, June 18. 

To salute healthcare workers and other frontline COVID-19 responders, the Goodyear blimp will be delivering sky high “Thank You’s” to Northeast Ohio’s frontline COVID-19 responders, paying tribute to their continued efforts in the fight against Coronavirus.

The blimp will fly over OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital on Thursday, June 18 from approximately 11:05 to 11:15 a.m. 

Other flyover locations on Thursday, June 18 include Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Akron General Lodi Hospital, University Hospital Ashland, Wooster Community Hospital, Aultman Orville Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital. 

Residents should observe the flyover from the safety of their homes and refrain from traveling to see the flyover. Social distancing should be practiced at all times. 

The “Sky High Thank You” tour began on Monday, June 15, with stops planned at other local hospitals in Northeast Ohio throughout the week. The Goodyear blimp will display a “Thank You” message to frontline workers on its LED screen during the flyovers for all to see.
