GREEN TOWNSHIP -- A 25-year-old Lucas woman sustained serious injuries on Sunday night during a one-car crash on Ohio 39, just south of Township Road 2606 in Ashland County.

According to the Ashland Post of the State Highway Patrol, Leighanne Marie Waldo-Grumney was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla south on Ohio 39 at 11:55 p.m. and failed to negotiate a curve in the road.

Troopers said the Corolla went off the left side of the road, struck an embankment, and rolled over before coming to a final rest in the road.

Waldo-Grumney received serious, but not life threatening, injuries as a result of the crash. Troopers said she was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Ohio 39 was temporarily closed while the crash was being investigated.

Other agencies assisting at the crash scene were the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, and Perrysville Fire and EMS.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash. The crash is still currently under investigation, troopers said.
