ASHLAND -- The Ohio Department of Transportation has issued its construction report for the week of Sept. 30.
As a result, Ashland County drivers are urged to use caution on these roads:
State Route 179
SR 179 in Mohicanville, just south of Twp. Rd. 2252, will close Tuesday, Oct. 1 for a culvert replacement. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 179 to SR 95, southwest on SR 95 to SR 60, north on SR 60 to SR 179, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen Monday, Dec. 2, 2019.
State Route 58
SR 58, from US 250 to the Lorain County line, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing and bridge repair project. Flaggers will be used, allowing one lane of traffic at a time through the work zone. The project is expected to be complete October 2019.
State Route 60
SR 60, between McKinley Blvd. and Lauretta Ave., will have intermittent single lane closures as needed to complete structure work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete October 2019.
State Route 97
SR 97, between the Richland/Ashland County line and SR 3, is now open to traffic. Crews still need to complete miscellaneous work (intersections, striping, castings, RPMs, etc.). Traffic will be maintained by flaggers for the remaining work in this section of roadway. The entire project is expected to be complete October 2019.
