ASHLAND -- The Ashland Police Division will stage its third and final summer "Cones with a Cop" event on Aug. 27 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The events are a spin-off from the successful "Coffee with a Cop" program, which has taken place monthly since October 2018.
“After seeing how our Coffee with a Cop events have taken off, we wanted to provide a more kid-friendly opportunity for the public to meet with our local police officers and K-9 units,” said Ashland police Chief David Marcelli.
“We thought of Cones with a Cop— where ice cream, rather than coffee, will be provided—to better engage our community’s youth and familiarize them with our team," Marcelli said.
August’s Cones with a Cop will be hosted by Yoder’s Red Barn Ice Cream, 428 Parkside Drive. Complimentary ice cream will be provided.
