ASHLAND -- The Ohio Department of Transportation announced Tuesday afternoon that it has closed a section of Ohio 89 in Ashland County.
SR 89, at its intersection with CR 1600, is closed due to a downed tree on power lines. State officials urge motorists to use caution while driving in the area and seek an alternate route if possible.
The detour route will be US 250 to SR 60 to US 30 to SR 89. There is no estimated time as to when the road will reopen.
