To the Ashland Community,
During this past week, the teachers in the Ashland City School District have been overwhelmed by the show of support from the Ashland Community in recognition of National Teacher Appreciation Week.
In the last year, everyone’s life has changed in some form, with the education system being no different. The adjustments to remote learning and then back to in-school and remote learning simultaneously were some of the most difficult that teachers have ever had to make in their careers.
As teachers, we did the best we could for our students and the community. We did not do this expecting any praise or accolades.
However, the gifts and the outpouring of support this week have filled all of us with some much-needed encouragement. We are so grateful that our hard work and effort during this time have been recognized by the people and businesses of this great community.
From the gift cards sponsored by the Ashland Chamber of Commerce to the meals provided by the Academic Boosters and snacks from various parent organizations, the generosity has been tremendous and appreciated. We look forward to continuing to work together for the betterment of the students and the community.
