JEROMESVILLE -- Hillsdale didn't tinker around with Doylestown Chippewa.

A 30-7 result offered a strong testament in the win column in Friday night's Wayne County Athletic League game.

Max Vesper's 10-yard touchdown run broke a scoreless tie in the second period and gave the Falcons (3-3) a 7-0 edge at halftime.

Hillsdale's Ethan Goodwin tacked on a 16-yard scoring run to make it 14-0 early in the third period.

Midway through the third quarter, Chippewa's Christian Moyer tossed an 11-yard TD strike to Isaiah Radebaugh to slice the gap to 14-7. But the Falcons took control after that.

The Chipps (3-2) suffered a bad snap in the end zone leading to a safety that made it 16-7 heading to the fourth quarter.

Vesper's 1-yard TD blast goosed the margin to 23-7, and Presley Lewis capped the scoring with a 48-yard touchdown dash.

Hillsdale enjoyed a statistical advantage, too, in first downs (22-9), rushing yardage (360-131), passing yards (115-45) and total yards (475-176).

Vesper ran for 96 yards and threw for 59 more.
