OLIVESBURG — Kathleen Leeper made sure her final home game was a memorable one.
The Crestview senior erupted for 26 points, 24 in the first half, to spearhead a 67-41 beating of Mapleton on Thursday night that completed an undefeated Firelands Conference championship season. Junior Kenedi Goon chipped in 18 points.
Mapleton got 12 points each from Hannah Shadd and Cacie Stalnaker.
The Cougars (16-5 overall, 14-0 in the Firelands Conferenc) are back in action Saturday by hosting Rittman. Crestview’s tournament odyssey begins against Western Reserve in the sectional.
Mapleton is 12-10, 7-7.
