ASHLAND — Ashland, apparently, also runs on Dunkin.’
The city’s second Dunkin’ Donuts is due to be up and running in three or four months.
The coffee and donuts shop will be located at the former Kelly’s Deli restaurant at 624 Claremont Avenue, where construction crews can be seen working on the building’s foundation.
Shane Kremser, the city’s engineer, said the developer submitted plans for the new build in May.
The property has been under new ownership — SDAA Real Estate Holdings LLC — since December, according to county real estate records.
The company’s plans include a small dining room, a single-lane drive through window and an outdoor patio. There will be eight parking spots, Kremser said.
Kelly’s Deli was demolished the week of July 10.
SDAA also happens to own the Dunkin’ Donuts site on Commerce Parkway, which has been in operation since 2014.
Sarvish Arora, listed as Dunkin’s building owner on city documents, did not respond to requests for comment.

That’s just what we need another fast food restaurant. There are more coffee shops in town now. I hope they all starve . We need more local restaurants in are town . So the money stays in Ashland. How is this going to work on Claremont traffic backed up in the street. Sure wasn’t much planning here.
Both Ashland Dunkins are franchised, owned by a man local to ashland/wooster. There is no more money “leaving ashland” than there is when you go spend money in other towns.
No you just mean WOOSTER NOT ASHLAND
Why on earth does ashland insist on having doubles of every fast food place. Most ashland residents just want variety. 5 subways, 3 taco bells, 2 mcdonald’s, 10+ pizza places. here’s some restaurants I know would do so well in ashland, Panera, Canes, A bagel/ breakfast place. Kelly’s deli was such a good, cheap breakfast place.
I heard that Kelly’s Deli’s kitchen was in horrible, disgusting condition. The owner was forced to shut it down.
You heard wrong so quit believing rumors. The owner passed away is the reason it closed and was not in horrible condition.
We need more coffee places like we need more dollar stores. What we need is more family restaurants where families can sit and talk together while having dinner.
