ASHLAND — The Arrows will open the postseason at home.
Ashland (13-6) earned the No. 7 seed in Sunday’s Division I Bowling Green district tournament draw and will host No. 12 Toledo St. John’s (6-16) in a sectional championship game at 5 p.m. May 15.
A win would send Ashland into the district semifinals at Bowling Green’s Carter Park. The Arrows would likely play fourth-seeded Perrysburg in a district semifinal at 7 p.m. May 22. Perrysburg hosts No. 11 Toledo Start in a sectional final at 5 p.m. May 15.
Division III
Crestview picked up the No. 5 seed in the 12-team Shelby district. The Cougars (10-9) will host No. 9 Colonel Crawford (6-11) in a sectional semifinal game at 5 p.m. May 15. If the Cougars win, they will visit No. 3 Wynford (13-7) at 5 p.m. May 17 for the sectional title.
Division IV
Hillsdale (13-5) earned the No. 3 seed in northeast Ohio and slotted into the Cuyahoga Community College district. The Falcons took a first-round bye and await the winner of No. 18 East Canton and No. 31 Lordstown in a sectional final at 5 p.m. May 16 at Hillsdale. East Canton hosts Lordstown at 5 p.m. May 14.
No. 12 Mapleton also is in the Tri-C district field and took a first-round bye. The Mounties (9-6) will host either No. 16 Heartland Christian or No. 29 Fairport Harbor Harding at 5 p.m. May 16.
Loudonville picked up the No. 13 seed and slotted into the Struthers district. The Redbirds have a first-round bye and will host either No. 23 Leetonia or No. 24 Windham at 5 p.m. May 14.
