Dana D Carmichael 80, passed away on June 17th from a short illness at Kingston Nursing facility in Ashland, Ohio. He was born on Dec. 11th of 1943 in Ravenswood W VA. His parents were the late Albert D. Carmichael and Mary Evalee Casto.

He is survived by his wife Helen Carmichael who resides in South Carolina, they were married on Aug. 9th, 1997 in the Gatlinburg wedding chapel. Survivors include son Stephen Carmichael of Plymouth, Ohio, sister Patsy Gomez of California, brothers Dan Carmichael and Doug Carmichael, both of Ashland, OH, and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by son Timothy Carmichael, Albert and Evalee Carmichael, and 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

He worked 23 years as a Millwright Carpenter and production supervisor at F.E. Myers before moving to South Carolina to pursue his golf career, where he then obtained his PGA golf apprenticeship to then become an asst. head professional at 3 different golf courses.
He lived in West VA, Ohio, South Carolina and Florida during his survival. His hobbies were Golf, Basketball, Softball, Pickleball, and racing. He was a die hard Buckeyes fan!!!

His proudest accomplishments were becoming a PGA pro, becoming Brookside golf course champion in 1977, scoring 44 pts in a basketball game when he played in an industrial league, and running the 100 yd dash in the senior Olympics at 63 years old.

Dana was a kind individual and made friends wherever he went. He was a good father and a great human being to anyone who knew him.

Last I want to thank all staff members at Kingston Nursing facility who took care of Dana for the last 2 months of living on this earth.
