ASHLAND — Twenty-seven people received sentences in July for felony convictions in Ashland County.

Seven people were sentenced on July 1

  • Tovah Dunn, 45, of Parma, received a six-month prison sentence for a charge of possession of a fentanyl-related compound. He also received a two-year driver’s license suspension. He earned a jail credit of 182 days. He could be subject to up to two years of post-release control following the completion of his incarceration. The initial charge was filed Aug. 11, 2023.
    In a separate case, Dunn was sentenced to prison on tampering with evidence and possessing criminal tools charges. Each charge received a nine-month imprisonment to be served concurrently, but consecutive to the previous charge. He received 62 days of jail credit for these charges, and he will also be subject to up to two years of post-release control. The initial charges were filed Feb. 12.
  • Kai Nolan Grosklos, 20, of Columbus, received two years of community control for his conviction of aggravated possession of psilocybin. He also owes a $250 fine and court costs. He could face six to 12 months in prison if he violates the terms of community control. If that happens, he would receive 70 days of jail credit and face up to two years of post-release control.
  • Gary Hites, 39, of Mansfield, received two eight-month prison terms to be served consecutively for his conviction of aggravated possession of methamphetamine and attempted tampering with evidence. He also received a two-year suspension of his driver’s license. Hites could face up to two years of post-release control. He received 251 days of jail credit. The initial charges were filed July 13, 2023.
  • Gerald Dewitt, 65, of Mansfield, received an eight-month prison term for his conviction of theft. He also faces $1,038 in restitution. Dewitt received 96 days of jail credit. He could face up to two years of post-release control. The initial charge was filed Dec. 7, 2023.
  • Leo Hoffman, 44, of Ashland, received 25 eight-month prison term to be served consecutively for a total of 200 months, or just north of 16 years, for his conviction of 25 counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person. Hoffman was also ordered to register as a sex offender and to pay court costs. Charges 26-50 were dismissed and he received 140 days of jail credit. He faces a mandatory five-year post-release control term. The initial charges were filed Feb. 9.
  • Marissa Coffman, 25, of Ashland, received intervention in lieu of conviction for her charge of aggravated possession of drugs. She will be under two years of supervision, maintain sobriety, complete a drug and alcohol program and pay court costs. The initial charge was filed March 14.
  • Jeremiah Lehman, 38, of Ashland, received intervention in lieu of conviction her his charge of possession of marijuana. He will be under two years of supervision, maintain sobriety, complete a drug and alcohol program and pay court costs. The initial charge was filed April 11.

One person was sentenced on July 2

  • Carol Kitts, 57, of Ashland, received a two-year community control term for her conviction on a grand theft charge. Kitts also faces $7,500 in restitution and a $150 financial sanction. If she violates the conditions of community control, she will be imprisoned for six to 18 months and be subject to a two-year post-release control term. The initial charge was filed Feb. 9.

One person was sentenced on July 3

  • Nicole Renner, 39, of Huber Heights, two prison terms to be served consecutively for a total time of up to three years and nine months. She also received a prison term of 180 days, to be served concurrently. She originally faced eight charges. Her sentence was on three, the other five were dismissed. She received 170 days of jail credit. She also received a one-year suspension of her driver’s license and a $375 financial sanction. Upon her release, she faces 18 months to three years of post-release control. Initial charges were filed Feb. 17, 2023.

Four people were sentenced on July 9

  • Dominic Guidetti, 21, of Wooster, was sentenced to a $750 financial sanction, ordered to pay $3,899.85 in restitution and his driver’s license was suspended for three years for his conviction of three amended first-degree misdemeanor charges of vehicular assault. He received three days of jail credit. Initial charges were filed Nov. 18, 2022.
  • Jordan Nowak, 30, of Macedonia, received a 12-month imprisonment and a three-year community control term for his conviction of aggravated possession of drugs and improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle. Nowak also faces a $500 financial sanction and the forfeiture of the firearm. He received one day of jail credit. Initial charges were filed May 12, 2023.
  • Roger Watson, 61, Cleveland Heights, was sentenced to a nine-month prison term on his three convictions of forgery, passing bad checks and theft. The prison term will be served concurrently and he received two days of jail credit. He also was ordered to pay $2,369.30 in restitution, along with other court costs. He faces two years of post-release control upon release. The initial charges were filed Sept. 15, 2023.
  • John Ruehlan, 32, of Wellington, was sentenced to 18 months and 180 days in prison, to be served concurrently for his convictions of attempted burglary and petty theft. He received 489 days of jail credit. Upon his release, he faces 18 months to three years of post-release control. The initial charges were filed March 9, 2023.

Three people were sentenced on July 10

  • Dante Warner, 40, of Cincinnati, was sentenced to 18 months total on his convictions of possession of a fentanyl-related compound (with a firearm specification), aggravated possession (with a firearm specification), carrying a concealed weapon and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle. He received two days of jail credit. He faces two years of post-release control upon his release. Initial charges were filed Dec. 15, 2022.
  • Melinda West, 40, of Columbus, was sentenced to six months in prison for her conviction of aggravated possession of methamphetamine. She received 49 days of jail credit. She faces two years of post-release control. The initial charge was filed June 11, 2020.
  • Spencer Spreng, 22, of Oberlin, was sentenced to completion of a one-year inpatient treatment program for his conviction of cruelty to animals. He also received one year of community control. If he violates the term of his community control, he could be imprisoned for six to 12 months. He received 152 days of jail credit, and if, incarcerated, faces up to two years of post-release control. The initial charge was filed July 14, 2022.

One person was sentenced on July 15

  • Christian Rowe, 28, of Ashland, was sentenced to two to three years in prison and 18 months in prison, to be served concurrently, for his conviction of felonious assault and domestic violence. He received 267 days of jail credit. Upon release, he faces up to 18 months to three years of post-release control. Initial charges were filed Nov. 17, 2023.
    In a separate case, Rowe was sentenced to 12 months in prison for an assault conviction. The term is to be served consecutively to his previous sentence. That charge was filed on Jan. 11, 2024.

One person was sentenced on July 16

  • Richard Roby, 52, of Ashtabula, was sentenced to six months in prison for his conviction of aggravated possession of methamphetamine. He received 69 days of jail credit. Upon release, he faces up to two years of post-release control. The initial charge was filed May 10, 2024.

One person was sentenced on July 18

  • Jonathan Yaney, 39, of Ashland, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for his conviction of gross sexual imposition. He is also ordered to register as a tier II sex offender. He received 100 days of jail credit. Yaney faces a mandatory five-year post-release control term upon his release. The initial charge was filed April 9, 2024.

Eight people were sentenced on July 29

  • Ryan Hughett, 38, of Ashland, was sentenced to two nine-month prison terms, to be served concurrently, for his coviction of aggravated possession of methamphetamine and possession of heroin. He received 19 days of jail credit. Upon release, Hughett faces two years of post-release control. The initial charges were filed Jan. 11, 2024.
  • Joseph Cutlip, 39, of Ashland, was sentenced to five years of community control for his conviction of unauthorized use of a vehicle, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years and an OVI. His license has been suspended for three years. Cutlip also owes $525 in financial sanctions. He faces jail time and up to two years of post-release control if he violates terms of his community control. The initial charges were filed Jan. 8, 2024.
  • Te Asia Stewart, 29, of Cleveland, was sentenced to up to seven years in prison for the conviction of robbery, possession of criminal tools and theft; the terms are to be served concurrently. Stewart received 154 days of jail credit. Upon release, Stewart faces 18 months to three years of post-release control. The initial charges were filed Nov. 16, 2023.
  • Gregory Harris, 26, of Ashland, was sentenced to serve between four and six years in prison for his convictions of abduction, possessing criminal tools, assault, aggravated menacing and two counts each of attempted kidnapping and strangulation. He received 46 days of jail credit. Upon release, he faces up to 18 months to three years of post-release control. The initial charges were filed June 13, 2023.
  • Angela Schneider, 48, of Loudonville, was sentenced to a two-year community control term for her conviction of aggravated possession of methamphetamine. Schneider also has 100 hours of community service. She also owes $250 for a financial sanction and other costs. She faces prison if she violates the terms of community control. The initial charge was filed Dec. 20, 2023.
  • Laura Vance, 58, of Crestline, received intervention in lieu of conviction for her charge of possession of cocaine. She will be under two years of supervision, maintain sobriety, complete a drug and alcohol program and pay court costs. The initial charge was April 25.
  • Tangie Dewiel, 28, of Ashland, received intervention in lieu of conviction for her charge of aggravated possession of drugs. She will be under two years of supervision, maintain sobriety, complete a drug and alcohol program and pay court costs. The initial charge was Feb. 9.
  • Francisco Sanchez Vazquez, 49, of Louisville, Ky., received intervention in lieu of conviction for his charge of possession of criminal tools and possession of cocaine. He will be under two years of supervision, maintain sobriety, complete a drug and alcohol program and pay court costs. The initial charge was May 12, 2023.
