The weather outside is gonna be a little more frightful tonight and into Thursday, just two weeks before Christmas.

An arctic cold front will move west to east through north central Ohio on Wednesday night and into early Thursday morning with scattered snow showers and possible snow squalls developing along the front.

The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a hazardous weather outlook for an area that includes Richland, Ashland and Knox counties.

While accumulations of the white stuff will generally be less than one inch, quick bursts of snow combined with wind gusts up to 40 mph will lead to reductions in visibility and slick road conditions at times.

In addition, wind-chill temperatures will fall just below zero late during the night and into early Thursday morning.

The high on Thursday will only reach around 20 degrees with wind-child values as low as minus-4. It will be breezy with a west wind of 16 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph.

It will be mostly cloudy Thursday night with a low around 14 and wind gusts as high as 20 mph.
