ASHLAND — Ashland County Common Pleas Judge David Stimpert delivered 18 sentences and four in lieu of convictions (ILC) in the month of December.

Five people were sentenced Dec. 2

  • Justin Dronebarger, 40, of Mansfield, received a 10-month sentence for a charge of theft. Dronebarger earned 224 days of jail credit for time already served. Upon completion of his sentence, he could be subject to up to two years of post-release control. Dronebarger’s charge originated March 26, 2024.
  • Crystal Matyasevich, 39, of Ashland, received 10 months for a charge of aggravated possession of drugs, and a 10-month sentence for a charge of aggravated trafficking in drugs. The two 10-month sentences are to be served concurrently. Matyasevich earned 102 days of jail credit for time already served. Her Ohio operator’s license will be suspended for two years. Upon completion of her sentence, Matyasevich could be subject to up to two years of post-release control. Matyasevich’s charges originated April 24, 2024.
  • Ricky Dudte, 65, of Ashland, received a six month prison sentence for a charge of aggravated possession of psilocyn. He earned 16 days of jail credit for time already served, and could be placed on post-release control for up to two years upon completion of his sentence. Dudte’s charges originated Nov. 17, 2023.
  • Russell Norris, 41, of Ashland, received a 180-day prison sentence for a charge of aggravated possession of methamphetamine. Norris received 121 days of jail credit for time already served. He’ll be placed on community control for six months upon completion of his sentence. Norris could also be placed on post-release control for up to two years. His charge originated April 4, 2024.
  • Kelly Meadows, 32, of Mansfield, received intervention in lieu of conviction for a charge of aggravated possession of methamphetamine. The charge originated March 14, 2024. Meadows will be under supervision for two years, and during that time he must maintain his sobriety. He also has to complete a drug and alcohol program.

One person was sentenced Dec. 5

  • Christopher Gess, 34, of Ashland, received nine months in prison for a charge of domestic violence. Gess received an additional nine-month prison sentence for a charge of strangulation. He’ll serve his two sentences concurrently. Gess earned 87 days of jail credit for time already served. Upon completion of his sentences, Gess could be placed on post-release control for up to two years. His charges originated Sept. 11, 2024.

One person was sentenced Dec. 6

  • Jacob Keener, 19, of Ashland, received four sentences of 16 months each for four counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. Keener will serve his four 16-month sentences concurrently. He earned 86 days of jail credit for time already served. Upon completion of his sentence, Keener will have five years of post-release control. He’ll also have to register his residence, place of employment and higher education as a Tier I sex offender annually for 15 years. Keener’s charges originated July 18, 2024.

Four people were sentenced Dec. 9

  • Christian Alstott, 23, of Mansfield, received 59 days in prison for a charge of theft. He earned 59 days of jail credit for time already served. Alstott will be placed on two years of community control. If he violates the terms of his community control, Alstott will be ordered to serve between six and 12 months in prison. He also has to pay $250 in financial sanctions, and must complete 100 hours of community work service. Alstott’s charges originated March 15, 2024.
  • Nicholas Barnett, 42, of Ashland, received an 18-month prison sentence for a charge of retaliation. Barnett earned 62 days of jail credit for time already served. Upon completion of his sentence, he could be subject to up to two years of post-release control. Barnett’s charge originated Aug. 22, 2024.
  • Bradley Graber, 37, of Ashland, received seven months in prison for a charge of possession of heroin. Upon completion of his sentence, Graber could be placed on up to two years of post-release control. His charge originated Jan. 11, 2024.
  • Abigail Leclair, 40, of Millersburg, received intervention in lieu of conviction for a charge of aggravated possession of methamphetamine. The charge originated Nov. 16, 2023. Leclair will be placed on supervision for two years, and must maintain her sobriety during that time. She must also complete a drug and alcohol program.

One person was sentenced Dec. 13

  • Allen Parilla, 26, of Columbus, received 12 months in prison for a charge of failure to comply. Parilla earned four days of credit for time already served. He also had his Ohio operator’s license suspended for three years. Upon completion of his prison sentence, Parilla could be subject to up to two years of post-release control. His charge originated Dec. 8, 2023.

Five people were sentenced Dec. 16

  • Brandon Gilbert, 43, of Ashland, received a six-month prison sentence for a charge of aggravated possession of methamphetamine. Gilbert’s initial charge was filed Sept. 3, 2024. Gilbert earned 105 days of jail credit for time already served. Upon completion of his sentence, Gilbert could be subject to up to two years of post-release control.
  • Jo’Coste Lane, 38, of Lakeville, received six months in prison for a May 1, 2023, charge of aggravated possession of methamphetamine. He earned 134 days of jail credit for time already served. Lane could be placed on post-release control for up to two years upon completion of his sentence.
  • Ashley Patterson, 40, of Ashland, received a 180-day prison sentence for an April 11, 2024, charge of aggravated possession of methamphetamine. But, 177 days of that sentence are suspended, contingent on Pattersons’ completion of a mental health and substance abuse treatment program. Patterson also earned three days of jail credit for time already served. She’ll be placed on community control for two years. Patterson must also pay $250 in financial sanctions, and has to complete 200 hours of community work service.
  • Dakota Sutterlin, 20, of Loudonville, was sentenced to 12 months in prison for a charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. He received 94 days of jail credit for time already served. Sutterlin will be placed on post-release control for five years upon completion of his sentence. He will also be classified as a Tier II sex offender. That means Sutterlin must register his residence, place of employment and higher education every 180 days for the next 25 years. His charge originated Sept. 12, 2024.
  • Darius Boone, 33, of Columbus, received intervention in lieu of conviction for his charges of aggravated possession of hydrocodone and aggravated possession of oxycodone. Boone’s charges originated July 8, 2021. Boone will be under supervision for two years, and must comply with the terms of his supervision and maintain his sobriety. He also has to complete a drug and alcohol program.

Five people were sentenced Dec. 30

  • Todd Hendrix, 49, of Loudonville, received a 12-month prison sentence for a charge of attempted abduction. He also received a 12-month prison sentence for a charge of domestic violence. Hendrix’s sentences are to be served concurrently, and he received five days of jail credit for time already served. Upon completion of his sentence, Hendrix could be subject to up to two years of post-release control. His charges originated March 27, 2023.
  • Jason Poston, 45, of Columbus, received 180 days in prison for a May 10, 2024, charge of possession of a fentanyl-related compound. But, 172 days of his sentence were suspended, hinging on his completion of a drug program. He also received eight days of jail credit for time already served. Poston will be placed on community control for two years. He also has to pay $150 in financial sanctions and complete 100 hours of community work service.
  • Kenneth Roberts, 44, of Ashland, was sentenced to 36 months in prison for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. Roberts also received a 36-month prison sentence for tampering with evidence, to be served concurrently with his other sentence. He earned 455 days of jail credit for time already served. Upon completion of his sentence, Roberts will have to serve five years of post-release control. He’ll also be classified as a Tier II sexual offender, meaning he must register his residence, place of employment and higher education every 180 days for the next 25 years. Roberts’ charges originated Aug. 24, 2023.
  • De Angelo Peeple, 37, of Cleveland, was sentenced to 12 months in prison for a charge of possession of a fentanyl-related compound. Peeple earned 49 days of jail credit for time already served. He could be placed on post-release control for up to two years upon completion of his sentence. Peeple’s charge originated Jan. 29, 2024.
  • Jordan Brown, 25, of Columbus, received intervention in lieu of conviction for a Jan. 11, 2024, charge of aggravated possession of psilocyn. Brown will be under supervision for two years. During those two years, Brown must maintain sobriety and comply with the terms of his supervision, along with completing a drug and alcohol program.
