LOUDONVILLE – The Loudonville-Perrysville Exempted Village School District (LPEVSD) has announced the resignation of Tim Brafford, the head coach of the boys basketball program.
His resignation will take effect on March 16, 2025, following the conclusion of the current winter season, the school stated. Brafford served as head coach during the 2024-2025 season.
The Redbirds posted a 5-18 record this winter, including a 2-12 mark in the Knox-Morrow Athletic Conference.
“We are grateful to Coach Brafford for his dedication to our players and the values he helped instill in our programs,” said Loudonville-Perrysville Superintendent Jennifer Allerding.
“His efforts during this season supported our athletes in developing a sense of discipline, sportsmanship, and community.”
The announcement comes as the district prepares to begin its search for a new head coach.
“While this news is unexpected, we respect Coach Brafford’s decision,” Allerding said.
“Our focus now is to identify a leader who continues to align with the standards of professionalism, enthusiasm, and commitment that define our district and will guide our team into an exciting chapter ahead.”
The district will begin the hiring process immediately, working to ensure a transition that supports the ongoing growth of the basketball program.
