Jessica Lynn Eliyas, 55, of Port Clinton, died Dec. 28, 2024, at Stein Hospice in Sandusky due to complications of multiple sclerosis.
Jessica (Jessie) was born on Dec. 6, 1969 to Nancy Wasen and James Hammonds. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1988 and moved to Columbus shortly after, where she met and married her husband, Jim Eliyas in 1991. In 2020 they made the move to Port Clinton.
Jessie had a real love of all animals, especially horse and cats. As a young girl she spent time at the Peter Pan Playhouse and in the summer months she went to the farm where she honed her skills at all things horses.
Jessica is survived by her husband, Jim, her parents, Jim Hammonds and Nancy Wasen and a half sister, Anna Carr.
