Abstractions jazz concert set for April 7 at First Christian Church in Ashland

ASHLAND — The Big Bands and All that Jazz Society will be treated to the music of Abstractions, led by pianist and music virtuoso McCray Martin.

The event will take place on Monday, April 7 at 7 p.m. at First Christian Church, at 1425 King Rd in Ashland. Admission is free. Donations are accepted and memberships are available.

Joining Martin will be Eric Snyder on saxophone, Stan Smith on guitar, Paul Martin on bass, and Steve Berry on the drums. Additionally, we will be treated to a special surprise musician.

This is a concert that you will not want to miss. You will hear all forms of jazz, from swing to funk, from blues to Latin, from ballads to Avant Garde. There will be something for everyone, and it will all be performed by fantastic area musicians.
