ASHLAND — Johanna Wilson, the CEO of Hope 419, has moved the psychiatry and counseling center from a small location, to a medium one and now to a large one.

Ketamine in counseling?
According to Johanna Wilson, ketamine has been proven as an effective treatment for depression that people are struggling to treat with other therapies.
Hope 419’s website lists two ways to use it: a nasal spray called Esketamine Spravato and IV ketamine.
She said the reasons for its most recent move into a larger space were twofold: to offer more space for Hope 419’s autism testing, and for ketamine treatments for depression.
The center is one of the only ones between Cleveland and Columbus to offer those services, Wilson said.
Plus, the new Hope 419 location comes with an added bonus.
Right next door, Johanna and Jonathan Wilson have worked on a pet project: The Ashland Social, a new venue to host events in Ashland. Both businesses are now located in suites at 85 Amberwood Parkway, near the Ashland Walmart.
“I think we’re proud of how this turned out,” Jonathan Wilson said.
The Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated Hope 419’s relocation and The Ashland Social’s opening with back-to-back ribbon cutting ceremonies Friday afternoon.
Dan Lawson, a city council member-at-large, spoke at both ceremonies, along with Amy Daubenspeck, president of the Chamber.
Both locations received several renovations and new decor as the Wilsons moved in.
At The Ashland Social, Jonathan said they redid the floors, added benches, bought baskets from TJ Maxx to create homemade lighting fixtures and added new wallpapers.
Hope 419’s new location has several rooms decked out with sofas, wallpaper and chairs.
