ASHLAND COUNTY — Mapleton High School held its 63rd annual commencement ceremony on Sunday, June 1, marking a milestone for the class of 2025.
Principal Corey Kline presided over the ceremony, which recognized this year’s top academic honorees: valedictorian Jay Kettering and salutatorian Kellie Keating. The commencement address was delivered by teacher Carrie Ignaczak.
The class of 2025 selected blue, red, and gold as their class colors. Their class flower was the white lily, and the class song was George Thorogood’s “Bad to the Bone.” The class motto, taken from the movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, read: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
Class officers included President Taren Kramer, Vice President Ava Southern, Secretary Kylie Foran, Treasurer Ava Romesberg, and Student Body President Ellie Hageman.
