About the event:
What goes into creating a great character? We’ll talk about some of the beloved characters from Pixar Studios that came from the mind of John Lasseter and where their inspirations came from. We’ll also brainstorm on storytelling techniques that make a character memorable. This workshop is led by scholar Jeremy Meier who will be portraying Steve Jobs on July 19.
The workshop will be held at the YMCA Youth Camp at Myers Memorial Band Shell at Brookside Park, 209 Parkside Drive, Ashland. Rain site location is the Ashland YMCA, 207 Miller Street, Ashland.
Ashland Chautauqua’s 5-day Breaking Barriers event runs from July 15-19, 2025 with daytime workshops at various locations and living history performances each evening at Myers Memorial Band Shell at Brookside Park, Ashland. All events are free and open to the public. All event locations are accessible and sensory-friendly.
