BUCYRUS — A 20-year-old man was killed Sunday after a one-vehicle crash in Crawford County, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Constantinos Charles Chavatzas, died after his vehicle went off the road and struck a tree, according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident took place at approximately 3:31 p.m. on Knauss Road, north of State Route 294, authorities stated.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Chavatzas was driving a black 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage northbound on Knauss Road, north of Ohio 294, when the car went off the west side of the road.

The vehicle continued northbound before striking a tree. It then came to rest partially on the pavement on the east side of Knauss Road, facing north.

The incident is still under investigation.

Assisting the sheriff’s office at the scene were the Bucyrus Fire Department, Dallas Township Fire Department and the Crawford County Coroner’s Office.

Hensley’s Towing removed the vehicle from the scene.
