ASHLAND — Kristin Aspin serves as Chief Operating Officer of the Ashland County Community Foundation, where she leads day-to-day operations and plays a central role on the foundation’s executive team.
Ashland City Schools Distinguished Alumni series
The Ashland City Schools Foundation will be hosting its 12th biennial Distinguished Alumni banquet Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Ashland University Convocation Center.
Five new inductees have been selected and will be honored, bringing the total inducted since the first event in 2003 to 65.
This week, Ashland Source is featuring information on one inductee per day today through Friday.
With 27 years of dedicated service at ACCF, Kristin has contributed at every level of the organization and is named the CEO Designate in the foundation’s succession plan.
Aspin has designed and overseen many of ACCF’s signature programs, including its grantmaking and scholarship programs.
She recently led the foundation’s strategic planning process and is working to strengthen organizational infrastructure to support ACCF’s growth.
Her commitment to excellence in governance and operations resulted in ACCF achieving National Standards accreditation from the Council on Foundations.
A champion for community needs, Kristin led the Women’s Fund Childcare Initiative at ACCF, designing and leading a $4.5 million fundraising campaign to build a childcare center and establish a new nonprofit organization.
This initiative expanded access to high-quality, affordable childcare for Ashland County families and businesses.
A 1997 Ashland High School graduate, Kristin earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with honors and her master’s degree in Social Work Administration with honors, both from The Ohio State University.
Her leadership and community service have been widely recognized.
She is a member of the Ashland County Women of Achievement (2021), recipient of Philanthropy Ohio’s Philanthropy Innovation Award (2022) and was named a Leadership Ashland Outstanding Alumna (2023).
She was also appointed by Governor Mike DeWine to the Board of Trustees of North Central State College and serves on the boards of Women of Achievement, Project Pavise and the Rotary Club of Ashland.
Kristin resides in Ashland with her husband, Josh, and their three sons, Jacob, Adam and Josiah.
