Karen L. Aber age 80 of Ashland, passed away on June 10, 2025 at Brookwood Place.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 13, 1945 the daughter of John and Irene (Gaskel) Keefer she was a resident of Ashland County most of her life. Karen was married to Larry M. Aber on February 8, 1964 and he preceded her in death on March 24, 1996. Karen was the owner of Valley Transportation before her retirement. She loved to give back to the Ashland community.
Surviving are three sons; Steve (Michelle) Aber of Ashland, Scott Aber of Mansfield and Shawn (Nichole) Aber of Ashland. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Jackson Aber, Katelyn Aber and Dylan Aber. She is also survived by her sister and brother; Al Keefer of Florida and Becky Grove also of Florida.
In addition to her husband Larry, she is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Stacy; sister Judy Gunderson and brother, John Keefer.
A memorial service will be held at the Ashland Dickey Church of the Brethren on July 2, 2025 at 11:00 am with Pastor Tom Zuercher officiating. A private burial will follow.
