ASHLAND — The following criminal charges were filed in August with the Ashland County Common Pleas Court.
Indictments
The following 20 people were the subject of an indictment and have or will appear before the Ashland County Common Pleas Court:
- Luis Erick Alcantara Luna, 29, of Bedford Park, Ill., was charged with receiving stolen property. Charges were filed by the Ohio State Highway Patrol on Aug. 8 following an incident authorities say happened Aug. 6.
- Joseph Carmichael, 33, of Ashland, was charged with domestic violence. Charges were filed by the Ashland Police Department on Aug. 28 following an incident authorities say happened Aug. 26.
- Mark Chambers, 61, of Lorain, was charged with driving under OVI suspension and failure to comply with order or signal of police officer. Charges were filed by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 11 following an incident authorities say happened Aug. 8.
- Kenneth Dempsey Jr., 32, of Lorain, was charged with possession of cocaine, carrying a concealed weapon, improper handling firearms in a motor vehicle and driving under suspension of in violation of license. Charges were filed by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 11 following an incident authorities say happened Aug. 8.
- Jeffery Howell, 55, of Ashland, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs. Charges were filed by the Ashland Police Department on Aug. 12 following an incident authorities say happened Aug. 11.
- Timothy Kazee, 48, of Ashland, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs. Charges were filed by the Ashland Police Department on Aug. 4 following an incident authorities say happened Aug. 3.
- Antoinette Lockridge, 53, of Mansfield, was charged with misdemeanor theft and possession of LSD, commonly known as ‘acid.’ Charges were filed by the Ashland Police Department on Aug. 15 following incidents authorities say happened June 1.
- Angie McIntire, 46, of Mansfield, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs. Charges were filed by the Ashland Police Department on Aug. 21 following an incident authorities say happened Aug. 20.
- Broc McKinney, 25, of Mansfield, was charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs and two counts of aggravated possession of drugs. Charges were filed by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 4 following incidents authorities say happened June 10 and June 12.
- Brandon Richard Mosher, 36, of Ashland, was charged with pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person. Charges were filed by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 22 following incidents authorities say happened between Sept. 1, 2020 and Aug. 21, 2025.
- Dillon Partin, 19, of Elyria, was charged with failure to comply with order or signal of police officer. Charges were filed by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 19 following an incident authorities say happened Aug. 17.
- Moses Payne, 65, of Euclid, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or a drug of abuse, operating a vehicle under the influence of a listed controlled substance, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and carrying a concealed weapon. Charges were filed by the Ohio State Highway Patrol on Aug. 14 following incidents authorities say happened May 2.
- Benjamyn James Pearson, 27, of Fremont, was charged with failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer. Charges were filed by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 18 following an incident authorities say happened Aug. 15.
- Benjamin Pounds, 38, of Ashland, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Charges were filed by the Ashland Police Department on Aug. 28 following an incident authorities say happened Aug. 28.
- Joseph Smetanko, 34, of Ashland, was charged with pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person and illegal use of a minor or impaired person in a nudity-oriented material or performance. Charges were filed by the Ashland Police Department on Aug. 15 following incidents authorities say happened Dec. 15, 2024.
- Frank Stamets, 58, of Ashland, was charged with domestic violence, two counts of kidnapping, aggravated possession of drugs and resisting arrest. Charges were filed by the Ashland Police Department on Aug. 5 following incidents authorities say happened Aug. 3.
- Damian Vandriest, 30, of Ashland, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, tampering with evidence and possessing criminal tools. Charges were filed by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 8 following incidents that occurred Aug. 6.
- Vandriest was also charged with three counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs and two counts of aggravated possession of drugs. Charges were filed by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 14 following incidents that authorities say happened between May 1 to 7.
- Isaiah Vasquez, 28, of Mansfield, was charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs. Charges were filed by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 14 following an incident authorities say happened June 12.
- Jon Wagner, 41, of Greenwich, was charged with having weapons while under disability and grand theft of a firearm or dangerous ordnance. Charges were filed by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 14 following incidents authorities say happened between Feb. 23 through May 16.
- Brittny Walker, 31, of Mansfield, was charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs. Charges were filed by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 14 following incidents authorities say happened June 10 and 12.
