ASHLAND — Join the Ashland County Historical Society (ACHS) for a month-long celebration of Halloween activities planned.

Events will take place at both the Freer Children’s Home (1260 Center St.) and the Manor House (414 Center St.).

ACHS staff and volunteers have curated another spooky experience for families to enjoy at this year’s Halloween House at the Freer Children’s Home.

Explore the museum after hours and discover delightfully eerie decorations that are perfect for all ages. Join us for a fun and festive experience that will make this Halloween one to remember!  The event runs from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on October 16-19 and 25-26, where guests can explore three floors of this family-friendly showcase. New in 2025 is a third and final day of the Halloween House on October 31 – so don your costumes for one final night of ghoulish fun! The cost is $3 for adults and $1 for children 3 and older.

On October 24, dive into the shadows of the past with our Dark History Tour – a spine-chilling journey through the secrets and scandals of our city’s haunted past. This hour-long tour uncovers the mysteries and untold stories that will send shivers down your spine and leave you questioning what lies beneath the surface. Join us, if you dare, for an unforgettable experience that will bring history to life in a hauntingly vivid way. Tours begin at the half-house at 6:00, 6:30, and 7:00.

Advance registration is required, and space is limited. No tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets are $5 per person. Due to the nature of the content, all attendees must be 16 or older. To register and learn more, visit www.ashlandhistory.org or call 419-289-3111.
