ASHLAND — Vivek Ramaswamy will visit Ashland on Friday to discuss his plans for Ohio if he is elected governor in 2026.
The Oct. 17 event, open to the public, is arranged by the Ashland County Republican Party at 1:30 p.m. at 141 E. Main St.
Ramaswamy has already been endorsed by the Ohio Republican Party, along with President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, Ohio senators Jon Husted and Bernie Moreno and other party leaders.
The Cincinnati native officially announced his bid for governor in February. He was formerly a Republican Party candidate for president during the 2024 primary.
He founded Roivant Sciences, a biotech pharma company, in 2014, and was its CEO until 2021.Â
On his website, Ramaswamy said his vision for Ohio includes embracing capitalism, cutting back on industry regulations and preparing Ohio’s young people to be educated leaders.
Ramaswamy’s campaign did not respond to a request for comment.
