OBETZ — Saturday marked the first-ever Division IV state cross country tournament under the OHSAA’s domain, and Crestview had runners compete in the girls’ race at Fortress Obetz.

Six Cougar runners combined to placed 18th in the team standings with 430 points.

Senior Emmie Kemp placed the highest at 41st in 19:47.02.

Senior Alina Durbin finished 100th (20:42.34), sophomore Laynie Kemp was 131st (21:20.84), senior Audrey Wolford took 159th (21:58.21), sophomore Alexandra Cutlip crossed the line 192nd (23:22.10) and sophomore Emily Pond finished 214th (30:01.44).

Hillsdale sophomore Kloe Smith also ran in the Division IV girls race, busting the tape with a 20:29.83 run for 82nd place.
