Jon Alan Lang, 75 of Ashland passed from this life early Tuesday morning, November 11, 2025 in OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
He was born on February 18, 1950 in Ashland, the son of the late Rex and Mary Jo (nee Linn) Lang.
Jon graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 1968. He proudly served in the United States Army in Korea during the Vietnam Conflict.
He married the love of his life, the former Wendy Elaine Bugara on September 8, 1973.
Jon retired from Novatex in 2015 after many years of service. He was previously employed at Hospira, formerly known as Abbott Labs, and Hawkins Market.
He was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church. Throughout his life, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His favorite joy in life was spending time with his beloved grandchildren and attending their extracurricular activities. Jon also enjoyed working on crossword puzzles.
Jon is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mrs. Wendy Lang of Ashland; three children, J.J. (Lisa) Lang of Ashland, Angie (Dustin) Kruty of Ashland, and Scott (Jennifer) Lang of Ashland; nine grandchildren, Gage (Naomi Pokrzywa) Lang of Boulder, Colorado, Hailey Lang, Dylan (Kerryn Williams), Dakota, Denver, and Delaney Kruty, Lucy, Espn, and Rex Lang, all of Ashland; two brothers, Gary (Linda) Lang of Ashland and Joe (Wanda) Lang of Apple Creek, one sister, Carol Denbow of Wooster; and two sisters-in-law, Linda Lang of Savannah and Judith Lang of Florida.
In addition to his parents, Jon is preceded in death by one infant sister, Barbara; and two brothers, Robert and Ronald Lang.
In keeping with Jon’s wishes, no services will be observed.
