ASHLAND – Ashland City Schools Foundation and Ashland County Community Foundation have announced the recipients of their fall semester Teacher Mini-Grants.
These mini-grants will allow 28 Ashland County educators to implement innovative programs and projects to advance student learning, both in and outside their classrooms.\
Thanks to the grant funding, students throughout the county will have opportunities to enhance their experiences in science, the arts, English Language Arts, and more.
Grants totaled $6,050 from ACSF and $21,826 from ACCF. The following teachers received grants:
Ashland City Schools Foundation
Madalynn Kingan, Edison Elementary School, received a grant for “Sensory Library.”
Anastasia Neiding, Taft Intermediate School, received a grant for “The Inclusive Bean.”
Elizabeth Webb, Reagan Elementary School, received a grant for “Every student CAN participate in physical education.”

Marty Kral, Ashland City Schools, received a grant for “Ashland Large Group Music Clinic.”
Olivia Plank, Taft Intermediate School, “Updating Classroom Technology.”
Bekah Sparr, Taft Intermediate School, received a grant for “From You to Them: A Journey Through History.”
David Thompson, Ashland High School, received a grant for “Financial Freedom and Independence.”

Zane Aleman, Ashland High School, received a grant for “Ashland High School Jazz Mouthpieces.”
Carly Black, Hillsdale High School, received a grant for “Everybody Can Be a Reader at Hillsdale.”
Kathy Blackford, St. Edward School, received a grant for “Colorful Science – Enhancing Student Learning through Better Notetaking and Reference Materials.”
Nella Blackford, St. Edward School, received a grant for “NJHS Goes Local-Caring for our Community.”
Cameron Dedrick, Ashland City Schools, received a grant for ”Focusing on Media Arts.”
Cara Dziak, Ashland Christian School, received a grant for “The Manhasset Project.”
Jennifer Ediger, Reagan Elementary, received a grant for “Explore & Learn through Play.”
BreAnn Fennell, Reagan Elementary School, “Learning is Wild: Let’s Go to the Zoo!”
Abby Helbling, Ashland Middle School, received a grant for “Keys for Success, part 1.”
Nichole Helenthal, Ashland County Community Academy, received a grant for “CBI Marketplace: Building Skills for the Future.”
Elizabeth Mangan, Mapleton Local Schools, received a grant for “Flexible Foundations: Supporting Focus and Comfort in Special Education.”
Jessica Murawski, Hillsdale Local Schools, “Outdoor Concert Opportunities.”
Joe Ortiz, Mapleton Middle School, received a grant for “From Minerals to Mountains.”
Brooke Power, Hillsdale Local Schools, received a grant for “Snap and Lego Robots.”
Julianne Schneeg, St. Edward School, received a grant for “Finance-Free Field Trips.”
Andrea Soergel, Ashland Christian School, received a grant for “Growing a Crop of Readers with Great Books.”
Andrew Tabler, Ashland High School, received a grant for “Ashland High School Velocity- Based Training.”
Rebecca Taylor, Taft Intermediate School, received a grant for “Flexible seating for students with disabilities leads to greater success in the classroom.”
Paula Thomas, Ashland High School, received a grant for “Snorkl AI.”
Chelsea Uselton, Ashland City Schools, received a grant for “AMS PBIS Arrow Store.”
Mitch Young, Mapleton Middle School, received a grant for “Focus & Flow: A Flexible Learning Environment.”
Ashland City Schools Foundation and Ashland County Community Foundation accept applications for Teacher Mini-Grants twice annually, with application deadlines in January and September.
Grant requests should be for programs and projects that are not covered by school budgets.
For spring semester 2026 grants, any K-12 teacher from any school in Ashland County may apply online at www.ashlandforgood.org/grants by Jan. 15.
Applicants from the Ashland City School district will be considered for ACSF grants, and all applicants will be considered for ACCF grants.
