ASHLAND — Sheriff Kurt J. Schneider declared a Level One snow emergency Tuesday morning after nighttime snowfall delivered 2 to 5 inches of snow across the area.

Ashland City Schools, Loudonville-Perrysville Schools and others were closed due to the inclement weather.

Still, the snow complemented downtown Ashland’s Christmas decor and the festive Candy Cane Trail at Freer Field.
