ASHLAND — The following criminal charges were filed in January with the Ashland County Common Pleas Court.

Indictments

The following 18 people were the subject of an indictment and have or will appear in Ashland County Common Pleas Court: 

  • Justin Beasley, 27, of Ashland, was charged with domestic violence and two misdemeanor charges: unlawful restraint and violating a protection order. The Ashland Police Department filed the charges Jan. 2 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Dec. 31.
  • Lekia Christie, 22, of Marion, was charged with robbery and misdemeanor theft. The Ashland Police Department filed the charges Jan. 2 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Jan. 31.
  • Seth Christie, 24, of Ashland, was charged with robbery and misdemeanor theft. The Ashland Police Department filed the charges Jan. 2 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Jan. 31.
  • Christopher Evans-Hawthorne, 33, of Canton, was charged with possession of cocaine and illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds. An Ashland County grand jury filed the charges Jan. 8 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Nov. 22.
  • Bailey Grimwood, 25, of Ashland, was charged with strangulation, abduction and misdemeanor domestic violence. An Ashland County grand jury filed the charges Jan. 9 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Dec. 8.
  • Sharrisse Jones, 21, of Mansfield, was charged with complicity in the commission of an offense. The Ashland Police Department filed the charges Jan. 21 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Dec. 12.
  • Jay Iven Kern, 44, of Loudonville, was charged with possession of LSD and illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds. An Ashland County grand jury filed the charges Jan. 9 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Sept. 15.
  • Brian Klingler, 47, of Jeromesville, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs. The Ashland Police Department filed the charges Jan. 15 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Jan. 14.
  • Kara Lisius, 43, of Ashland, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs. The Ashland Police Department filed the charges Jan. 5 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Jan. 2.
  • Robert Palermo, 24, of Ashland, was charged with aggravated murder and two counts of murder, all with unclassified felony degrees. The Ashland Police Department filed the charges Jan. 2 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Jan. 1.
  • Kevin Raphael, 24, of Cuyahoga Falls, was charged with swatting. The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office filed the charges Jan. 9 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Jan. 1.
  • Joshua Wells, 49, of Jeromesville, was charged with domestic violence and intimidation. The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office filed the charges Jan. 2 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Jan. 1.
  • Robin Workman, 32, of Ashland, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs. The Ashland Police Department filed the charges Jan. 5 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Jan. 3.
  • Miriam Ruth Burns, 69, of New York, was charged with failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer. The Ohio State Highway Patrol filed the charges Jan. 27 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Jan. 25.
  • Cory Light, 40, of Ashland, was charged with felonious assault. The Ashland Police Department filed the charges Jan. 29 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Jan. 28.
  • Lonie Scott, 52, of Mansfield, was charged with domestic violence and misdemeanor aggravated menacing. An Ashland County grand jury filed the charges Jan. 8 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Jan. 3.
  • Quortez Deshawn Dejour-Grier, 27, of Mansfield, was charged with breaking and entering. The Ashland Police Department filed the charges Jan. 30 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Dec. 12.
  • Amaad D. Mack, 26, of Mansfield, was charged with breaking and entering. The Ashland Police Department filed the charges Jan. 30 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Dec. 12.
