James “Jim” Leroy Barber, 86, passed away February 12, 2026, in Bucyrus, Ohio.
Jim was born May 6, 1939, in Ashland, Ohio, to Kathryn (Hart) and James Barber. He was a proud graduate of Ashland High School.

He managed King Lanes bowling alley in Ashland for several years before becoming a dedicated delivery driver for UPS, where he worked faithfully for 25 years until retirement.
Jim formed many lasting friendships on the bowling lanes. He also enjoyed golfing with friends and his brothers-in-law. After retirement, Jim and his beloved wife, Bev, enjoyed bicycling throughout Ohio and taking in the state’s beautiful scenery.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Bev, and blended family, including daughters, Jami Williamson of Bucyrus, Sharon Goss of Nankin, and Karen Brooks of Ashland. He leaves behind many grandchildren and a growing legacy of great-grandchildren who brought him endless joy.

In keeping with his wishes, no formal services will be held.
