The board of education also heard a first reading of several upcoming policy changes that reflect updates mandated by Ohio legislature.
Those updated policies include adding an AI policy, updating the language regarding weighted grades and release time for religious instruction in high school.
Superintendent Steve Paramore also announced he would provide the annual state of the schools address virtually this year. A video will be uploaded to YouTube by the end of February highlighting the district’s successes and pointing out areas for improvement.
Paramore also reminded parents kindergarten registration is March 2 to 6 at Reagan Elementary School and preschool registration is March 262 and 7 at Reagan.
He also shared the district would host its third annual Easter egg hunt, which will be on April 9 at 6:30 at Ashland Community Stadium.
