Jada Ann (Day) Smith, age 69 of Ashland, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at her home. She was born on February 7, 1957 in Ashland, Ohio, to the late William Darl and Betty Lou (Wagner) Day.
Jada was an Ashland High School Graduate and also received an associate’s degree. She had worked for Ashland County and held various jobs in factories and restaurants, including Lyn Way Restaurant. She was a member of the Am Vets Auxiliary Post 149. Jada loved her family and spending time with them and Randy. She liked to be outdoors camping and kayaking. Her favorite place to visit was Cades Cove in Tennessee. Often, she would spend her weekends going to flea markets and antique shops. Jada also enjoyed doing crafts and scrapbooking. Everything she did, she enjoyed to the fullest including life itself. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Jada is survived by her daughters, Andrea Treece and Kirsten (Adam) Kahl; her siblings, Karen (Ricky) Brady and Randy (Sandra) Day; her sister-in-law, Michelle Day; the love of her life Randy Summerton and his mother Roberta Young; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, William and Betty Day, Jada was preceded in death by her husband Raymond A. “Tony” Smith; her daughter Shannon Marie Day; and her brother Alan Day.
A celebration of Jada’s life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Am Vets Post 149, 414 Perry Twp Road, Polk, OH 44866.
