Julie Kay Tucker, 69, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with Marfan Syndrome and Multiple Sclerosis. Julie was born on July 29, 1956, in Ashland, Ohio, to Carlyle and Lois (Clawson) Ulery. On June 5, 1976, she married the love of her life, David Tucker, beginning nearly fifty years of marriage built on faith, family, and devotion. Julie was a long-time and devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeromesville, where she was very active in the life of the church. She faithfully served her congregation through many ministries, including teaching Sunday School and participating in L.O.R.A.C.
Her faith and servant’s heart were central to her life, and she found great joy in helping others. A proud member of her school band, Julie played the flute and carried a lifelong love of music. She attended many concerts with Dave. She also enjoyed walking, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. Julie was known for her warm spirit, kind heart, and the genuine joy she found in connecting with people. Julie worked as a cashier at Home Hardware for 29 years, where she truly loved her job and cherished the opportunity to interact with members of the community each day. Her friendly smile, sense of humor, and welcoming nature made a lasting impression on everyone who crossed her path.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, David Tucker; her children, Donald Tucker, David E. Tucker, Benjamin (Ashley) Tucker, and Emily Babnik; and her cherished grandchildren, Summer Maez, June Tucker, Lily Babnik, George Babnik, Abraham Tucker, and Daphne Tucker. She is also survived by her siblings, John (Susanna) Ulery and Barb (Steve) Kerr; sisters-in-law, Sue Tucker, Jeanne Tucker, Lee Tucker, Nancy (Tom) Furry, and Merry Ulery; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Carlyle and Lois Ulery; her brother, Steve Ulery; her sister-in-law, Sally Tucker; and nephew, Danny Furry.
Friends and family will gather for visitation on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at 308 Claremont Avenue in Ashland. Julie will be laid to rest at Ashland County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeromesville.
