Eli A. Yoder, 85, of Ashland, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026 in his home, with his wife by his side.

He was born on November 18, 1940 in Mount Hope, Ohio, to the late Amos and Dena Yoder.

Eli married the love of his life, the former Jacqueline “Jackie” Berger, on January 18, 1964.

He owned and operated Yoder’s Alignment for 39 years. Eli and Jackie enjoyed going up to their house on Lake Erie, where he enjoyed Perch and Walleye fishing. At home he enjoyed feeding the wildlife in his backyard and walking through the woods.

Eli will be deeply missed by his wife Jackie, whom he was married to for 62 years, his sister; Mary (Andy) Yoder of Dalton, brother Bert (Annie) Yoder of Apple Creek, brother-in-law Michael Dean (Carol) Berger of Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Eli was preceded in death by his sister Edna Yoder, and brother Raymond Yoder.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 12:00 pm in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home, 313 Center St., Ashland, Ohio with Reverend Donald Earlenbaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Wooster Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the services from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
