Beverly J. Zimmerman, 89 of Ashland passed away early Friday morning, April 10, 2026, in the Good Shepherd Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on January 19, 1937, in Ashland, the daughter of the late Robert F. and Geraldine (nee Kershner) Kimes.

Beverly has been a resident of Ashland her entire lifetime. She was a graduate of Ashland High School, Class of 1937.

Beverly married the love of her life, Albert L. Zimmerman, on June 24, 1956.

She worked at Dilgard Auto Parts for more than 30 years and retired from the Ohio State Highway Department in Ashland.

Beverly was a member of the First Christian Church where she served as a deacon and cooked many of the church meals.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan Barr of Hayesville and Nancy (Thomas) Meyers of McDonough, Georgia; granddaughters, Crystal Barr, Deborah Benner, Sarah Meyers and Rachel Meyers and a great-granddaughter, Rylee Grace Dillinger.

In addition to her parents, Beverly is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Albert, who passed from this life on May 24, 2019; and a son-in-law, Jeffery Barr who passed away on September 3, 2022.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the First Christian Church with Pastor Rich Pate presiding. Interment will be in the Ashland Cemetery. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
