NORWALK – A Bucyrus man was killed Sunday night after his motorcycle crashed in Seneca County, according to the Norwalk Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

David M. Clayton, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene of the one-vehicle crash, the Post reported.

The incident took place at 7:21 p.m. on State Route 100 near State Route 67 in Eden Township, Seneca County.

According to the Patrol, Clayton was driving a 2014 Harley Davidson Street Glide motorcycle southbound on State Route 100 when he failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.

The Patrol stated that Clayton was not wearing a helmet at the time the crash occurred.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Bloom Township Fire and EMS, Keller Brothers Towing and the Seneca County Coroner’s Office.
